Products like "Nair" and "Veet" work to an extent, but they just don't compare to the real deal. Shaving has its perks, but the ingrown's and razor bumps definitely aren't worth it. Ladies take it from a brazilian "waxy" it's definitely worth the 10 min's of discomfort, and I use the word discomfort not as an understatement, but as realistically as anything you get done routinely. That first eyebrow wax was "torture," but after a couple of sessions it's a walk in the park and bikini waxing is the exact same thing. After doing the bikini line a few times you'll be removing more and more at a time. While you may have a rough first go round because continuous shaving has led to thicker hair growth, and your skin isn't use to waxing. Afterward you'll have up to a month worth of smoothness. For women whose hair grows fast (like myself) waxing is the best option for you because shaving every other day or every couple of days leads to serious ingrown's, blemishes, and razor bumps. Which are more painful to look at than getting a wax.

I was curious to know how men felt about the subject so I asked a few men on face book if they preferred a wax or shave. It turns out that out of 30 men two said it didn't matter, and two said shave. When asked why they preferred a wax, almost every last one of them said because its smoother, there are no razor bumps or prickly's, and it feels better. I asked men because there is no other opinion that matters most to women than the opinion of their husband, or partner. These men all ranged from ages 19-40 so don't be discouraged or uncertain of how realistic these opinions are.

Ladies I know your "scared" or nervous about the discomfort level of a waxing, but trust me. Like all things it becomes a routine and easier after each time its done. Most importantly you will be satisfied with what you see. Go get it done professionally and see the difference, feel the difference, and understand that the discomfort only last a moment, but the results afterward are worth while. Every woman is different in skin, and hair growth so understand that everyone's skin reaction may be different afterward. Redness will fade and go away and a little known fact all of you should know. If you do go for a brazilian there is to be no sexual intercourse afterward. I tell you this because depending on where you go they may not tell you. Especially if you don't ask questions because the waxer may assume you've had it done before. With all of that said Good Luck ladies to all of you that decide to try it, and to those of you that are comfortable with what you are doing remember change isn't always a bad thing.

(These prices may vary in different spa's or salons based on the amount of hair to be removed.)
